Lívia Sá is a multimedia artist and documentarian, specialized in photography and cinematography. Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, Lívia has been living between California, NYC and Brazil for the past 17 years and has achieved a masters degree in Media Studies from the New School, NYC. Currently, Lívia is directing her first feature length documentary and as a freelancer, she works as photographer and film director. Lívia has collaborated with NGOs, TV channels, agencies and artists such as Harry Styles, Rico Dalasam, Gale, Greenpeace, Amazon Watch, GNT, Spray Filmes, [SSEX BBOX], Luta pela Paz, among others. Through documentaries, experimental techniques and analog media, her personal work tends to focus on human rights issues. Oftentimes, going beyond conventional approaches to cinema, as Lívia is interested in altering the viewer’s perception while stimulating different senses in her storytelling. Her work has been screened and exhibited at different venues and festivals including Museum of Modern Art (Rio de Janeiro), Anthology Film Archives, Munich International Film Festival, Microscope Gallery, Mono No Aware, among others in the US, Mexico, Brazil, Europe and Japan.
